Key Responsibilities
Credit Underwriting & Decisioning
Review and approve loan applications within delegated authority limits. Evaluate borrower creditworthiness through financial analysis, bureau assessment, banking behavior, and repayment capacity. Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory guidelines. Handle deviations, policy exceptions, and escalated credit cases. Monitor high-value and high-risk loan proposals. Credit Policy & Risk Management
Assist in formulating and enhancing credit policies and underwriting frameworks. Identify emerging portfolio risks and recommend mitigation measures. Monitor portfolio performance, delinquency trends, and default rates. Conduct periodic reviews of credit programs and scorecards. Recommend changes in risk parameters based on portfolio behavior. Portfolio Monitoring
Analyze portfolio quality across customer segments, geographies, and channels. Track early warning signals and implement corrective actions.
Review collections performance and coordinate with recovery teams. Drive initiatives to reduce NPAs and credit losses. Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with Business, Operations, Collections, Product, Technology, and Compliance teams. Provide credit-related guidance and support to sales and operations teams. Participate in internal and external audits. Team Leadership Lead and mentor a team of credit analysts and managers. Define performance goals and conduct periodic reviews. Ensure adherence to SLAs and productivity standards. Conduct training sessions on underwriting and risk assessment. Process Improvement & Automation
Drive automation and digitization initiatives in credit processes. Participate in BRE (Business Rule Engine) design and enhancements. Monitor underwriting efficiency and turnaround times. Recommend process improvements to improve customer experience and risk controls.
