The Role
We are seeking an India Macro & Equity Strategist to anchor our top-down research effort. The mandate centres on India equity strategy and macro analysis: identifying the market and macroeconomic trends that matter, interpreting them rigorously, and converting them into clear, decision-ready views for the investment team and for clients. Bottom-up equity ideation is also part of the role, but the majority of the work concerns strategy and macro. This is a demanding seat in terms of diligence and initiative, with direct exposure to senior investment leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse significant Indian market and macro trends on a top-down, sectoral and comparative basis,



including cross-market and historical perspectives. Develop and defend India equity strategy views — market direction, sector and style positioning, and key themes. Autonomously create high-quality internal and external reports: strategy notes, macro updates, chartbooks and client-facing publications. Contribute bottom-up equity ideas that complement and pressure-test the top-down framework. Track macro data, policy, liquidity, flows and earnings to keep house views current and actionable. Leverage AI tools to raise the quality, depth and speed of research output. Candidate Profile

2–4 years of full-time relevant work experience (e.g., equity strategy, macro or equity research, buy-side or sell-side). MBA, or demonstrable progress towards the CFA charter. Undergraduate degree in Economics or Engineering. A reasonable grasp of
