Role Description
SAIA Living is seeking a Technical Textile Consultant to support fabric research, sourcing, testing, and development across our product collections.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in technical textiles, activewear, sportswear, performance fabrics, knitting, dyeing, and fabric innovation. The successful candidate will work closely with the Founder, suppliers, mills, yarn manufacturers, and product development partners to help translate material concepts into commercially viable fabrics.




This is a part-time hybrid role based in New Delhi, with flexibility for work from home and periodic visits to suppliers, mills, factories, dye houses, and development partners.
Key Responsibilities
Fabric Development & Innovation
• Research and evaluate fibres, yarns, fabric constructions, and finishing techniques.
• Support the development of custom fabrics for activewear and movementwear applications.
• Assess fabric performance including stretch, recovery, opacity, handfeel, moisture management, pilling, durability, and dimensional stability.
• Recommend suitable knit constructions, GSMs, yarn counts, and fabric specifications based on product requirements.
Supplier & Mill Collaboration
• Coordinate with yarn suppliers, knitting mills, dye houses, finishers, and garment manufacturers.
• Participate in technical discussions with development partners.
• Evaluate supplier capabil
