Job Summary
The Cardiac Anesthesia Technician will assist anesthesiologists in providing safe and efficient anesthesia services during cardiac surgeries and interventional procedures. The incumbent will be responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and management of anesthesia equipment and ensuring seamless OT operations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain anesthesia workstations, ventilators, and monitoring equipment. Assist anesthesiologists during cardiac surgeries and procedures. Ensure availability of anesthesia drugs, consumables, and emergency equipment. Monitor and troubleshoot anesthesia machines and related devices. Assist in patient preparation and positioning before induction of anesthesia. Maintain infection control and sterilization protocols within the OT.
Document anesthesia-related records and inventory management. Coordinate with surgeons, perfusionists, nursing staff, and OT personnel for smooth functioning. Ensure readiness of emergency resuscitation equipment and crash carts. Adhere to NABH standards and hospital policies. Eligibility Criteria
Qualification: Diploma/B. Sc. in Anesthesia Technology or Operation Theatre Technology from a recognized institution. Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Cardiac OT/Anesthesia services. Experience in handling cardiac anesthesia equipment will be preferred. Required Skills
Knowledge of cardiac anesthesia procedures and protocols. Familiarity with anesthesia machines, monitors, and ventilators. Robust communication and teamwork skills.
