Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ph D in computer science/computational biology/AI/ML/Statistics/Mathematics with 5+ years of post-doctoral and/or industry experience in R& D genomics/bioinformatics and/or driving innovation projects. Excellent track record of publications in peer reviewed journals with high impact factor. Extensive hands-on experience with analysis and interpretation of genomics /multi-omics/single cell data/metagenomics. Deep understanding of factors important to NGS data analysis, experiments, protocols, QCs and troubleshooting tools, analyses and code. Hands-on experience in programming in one of the scripting languages. Understanding of knowledgebases, tools and databases related to NGS and multi-omics data analysis. Experience in clinical diagnostics products/solutions/studies will be a big plus. Strategic mindset with ability to identify and implement current solutions. Demonstrated success mentoring staff and building scientific teams. Responsibilities:
You will work in close alignment with other R& D and/or production team members as subject matter experts and are responsible for: Advising clinical development teams on opportunities and limitations of the assay/method/experiment. You will continuously evaluate or develop, implement, and promote innovative bioinformatics/data science methodologies, approaches, and tools to be applied in our clinical development programes. You will be responsible for a quick working prototype of an idea/project/analysis. You will analyze and interpret challenging clinical and non-clinical data, identify problems, and find solutions. You will collaborate with our scientific and commercial teams to evaluate the feasibility and desirability of the new projects.
