We are seeking an experienced and proactive Manager – Legal, Compliance & Secretarial to lead the organization's legal, regulatory, compliance, and corporate governance functions. The role requires a strong understanding of FMCG, Beauty & Personal Care (BPC), consumer products, or D2 C business environments and the ability to provide practical legal solutions that support business growth while ensuring regulatory compliance.
The incumbent will work closely with leadership teams, external advisors, regulatory authorities, and cross-functional stakeholders to safeguard the company's legal interests and maintain high standards of corporate governance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Contract Management & Commercial Legal Support
Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial agreements including: Vendor and supplier agreements Distribution and channel partner agreements Marketing and influencer agreements Employment and consultancy contracts Lease agreements Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
Service and technology agreements Provide legal support to business teams on commercial and operational matters. Identify and mitigate contractual and business risks. 2. Regulatory Compliance & Governance
Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations including: Legal Metrology Act and Rules Drugs & Cosmetics Act and Rules Consumer Protection Act DPDP Act and related data privacy requirements BIS standards and regulations ASCI Advertising Code and marketing compliance Environmental laws including Plastic Waste Management Rules Shops & Establishment Act and other labour-related compliances Monitor regulatory developments and advise management on compliance requirements. Ensure timely renewal of licenses, registrations, permits, and statutory filings. 3. Legal Advisory & Risk Management
