Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Client Accountant to manage a portfolio of US-based clients, oversee daily bookkeeping, and handle monthly-end close processes. The role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, team management skills, and the ability to ensure timely and high-quality financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of US clients, handling daily bookkeeping and month-end close Ensure bookkeeping is performed in accordance with accounting principles and standards Execute and review month-end close activities, including: Bank Reconciliations Accounts Receivable (AR) & Accounts Payable (AP) reconciliations Inter-company reconciliations Accounts finalization Take full ownership of allocated client accounts, ensuring timely closures and monitoring work progress Perform detailed review of work completed by preparers to ensure accuracy and adherence to deadlines,
especially during month-end Work on cloud-based accounting platforms (e.g., Quick Books, Xero, Net Suite, etc.) Coordinate directly with clients for day-to-day communication and issue resolution Manage workflow, timelines, budgets, and deliverables across multiple client engagements Supervise and manage a team of preparers/staff, including utilization tracking and performance monitoring Collaborate closely with junior team members and support their day-to-day activities Qualifications
- CA / CPA / ACCA (Qualified or Part Qualified)
- CMA / MBA (Finance) / M. Com / B. Com
Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping At least 1 year of experience in a reviewer/senior role Experience handling US clients preferred Key Skills & Competencies
