POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a Cloud Fin Ops Lead to drive cloud cost optimization, financial governance, and accountability across multi-cloud environments. The role requires close collaboration with Engineering, Finance, Procurement, and Business teams to ensure cloud spend delivers maximum business value while maintaining cost efficiency, transparency, and compliance.
The candidate should hav e hands-on experience with Fin Ops practices and IBM Cloud ability tool governance and be actively working on large-scale cloud environments and Fin Ops management.
A. KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities
1) Cloud Cost Management & Optimization :
Lead end-to-end cloud financial management across AWS / Azure / GCP environments. Analyze cloud usage and spend trends; identify cost-saving opportunities Drive rightsizing, reserved instances, savings plans, and commitment-based discounts Implement chargeback/show back models for business units
2) Fin Ops Strategy & Governance:
Define and own Fin Ops framework, policies, and best practices.



Establish cost allocation standards (tagging, labeling, account structure) Enforce budget controls, alerts, and forecasting mechanisms Partner with Finance to align cloud spend with financial planning cycles.
3) Stakeholder Collaboration:
Act as a bridge between Engineering, Finance, and Leadership Influence engineering teams to build cost-effective architectures Support leadership with cost transparency, KPIs, and executive dashboards Provide guidance on cloud pricing models and vendor negotiations.
4) Reporting & Forecasting:
Develop dashboards and reports for cost visibility, forecasting, and variance analysis Track unit economics (cost per service, per user, per transaction) Support audits and compliance requirements related to cloud spend.
5) Tools & Automation:
Implement and manage Fin Ops tools (native & third-party)Automate cost optimization, reporting, and anomaly detection Evaluate and onboard new tools/processes t
