Role Overview
The Direct Tax skilled will be responsible for supporting the organization's direct tax compliance, tax planning, and advisory activities. The role involves ensuring timely tax filings, managing tax assessments and notices, conducting tax research, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to maintain compliance with applicable tax laws while supporting business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Direct Tax Compliance & Return Filing
Assist in the preparation, review, and timely filing of corporate income tax returns and related direct tax compliances for Quess Group entities.
2. Tax Research & Regulatory Monitoring
Monitor changes in direct tax laws, regulations, and judicial pronouncements, and provide insights to ensure compliance and identify tax-saving opportunities.
3. Tax Planning & Advisory Support
Support senior team members in tax planning initiatives, business transactions, and advisory assignments to optimize the organization's tax position.
4. Tax Assessments & Notice Management
Assist in handling tax notices, assessments, audits,



and inquiries from tax authorities by preparing responses and coordinating required documentation.
5. Litigation & Appeals Support
Prepare appeal papers, submissions, and supporting documents for proceedings before CIT(A), DRP, and other appellate authorities.
6. Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with Finance, Accounts, Legal, and Business teams to address tax-related matters and provide effective tax solutions.
7. Documentation & Compliance Management
Maintain accurate tax records, reconciliations, and supporting documents to ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
8. Transfer Pricing Support
Support Transfer Pricing compliance and documentation activities. A basic understanding of Transfer Pricing regulations will be an added advantage.
