Muthoot Pappachan Centre of Excellence in Sports (MPCES) is currently developing a comprehensive residential sports school at Palakkad, intended to provide international standard sports education and training facilities. This prestigious initiative aligns with the Group’s objective of promoting sports excellence and physical education.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a committed and detail-oriented Assistant Manager with relevant experience in construction/project accounting and finance management to support the financial operations of this landmark project.
Key Responsibilities:
Day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting entries
Project-wise accounting and cost allocation
Budget monitoring, variance analysis, and budget tracking
Processing and verification of contractor/vendor bills
Project payment processing and payment scheduling
Monitoring advances, retention money, and contractor reconciliations
Handling taxation compliance including TDS and GST
Preparation and filing support for statutory returns
Vendor ledger reconciliation and account finalization




MIS reporting and preparation of project finance reports
Coordination with internal finance team, auditors, consultants, and project stakeholders
Participation in project review meetings with technical and execution teams
Verification of supporting documents related to work completion/payment certification
Assisting in internal controls and compliance documentation
Periodic site visits to Palakkad (approximately once a month or as required)
Supporting statutory audit and project-related financial audits
Desired Candidate Profile:
CMA Qualified/MBA Finance / CMA or CA Semi-qualified
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in finance & accounts
Prior exposure to construction/project accounting is preferred
Strong knowledge of accounting standards, GST, and TDS compliance
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP software
Valuable analytical, coordination, and communication skills
Ability to work closely with cross-funct
