Role -
The General Manager - Fund Accounting will oversee a range of products including Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives and NAV, ensuring compliance with SLA, custodian & accounting standards. The role requires a robust background in Fund Accounting, NAV Calculations, Hedge Funds and Private Equity with a focus on managing teams responsible for these functions.
Proven experience in managing a team of at least 80-120 professionals.
Job Description -
Manage and lead a team of Fund Accountants responsible for NAV calculations, reconciliations, and reporting for a diverse range of investment products, including Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives and Hedge Funds.
Ensure accurate and timely calculation of Net Asset Values (NAVs) for assigned funds, adhering to established policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, investor reports, and other fund-related documentation, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Portfolio Managers, Traders,



and Operations, to resolve complex accounting issues and ensure smooth fund operations.
Develop and implement process improvements, automation initiatives, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
Manage and mentor team members, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities to foster a high-performing and knowledgeable team.
Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required, contributing expertise and leadership to support the organization's goals.
Criteria -
Any Graduation or Postgraduation.
Overall, 15-17years with minimum 10+ years of experience in Fund Accounting & NAV calculations
