Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to lead the Merchant Banking business. The role will be responsible for driving transaction origination, execution, syndication, and client relationship management across capital market and corporate finance transactions.
The ideal candidate should have a robust track record in originating and closing deals, extensive relationships with corporates, promoters, institutional investors, family offices, HNIs/UHNIs, and intermediaries, along with the ability to lead a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
Business Origination & Client Acquisition
- Originate and execute merchant banking and capital market transactions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with promoters, corporate clients, private equity funds, venture capital funds, institutional investors, family offices, and intermediaries.
- Generate mandates across equity and debt capital market transactions.




- Build a strong pipeline of fundraising and strategic advisory opportunities.
- Drive business development initiatives and contribute to revenue growth.
Transaction Execution
- Lead end-to-end execution of merchant banking mandates.
- Manage IPOs, SME IPOs, Rights Issues, Preferential Issues, QIPs, OFS, Buybacks, Delisting, Debt Placements, and other capital market transactions.
- Coordinate with legal advisors, auditors, registrars, stock exchanges, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders.
- Oversee preparation of offer documents, due diligence processes, valuation analysis, financial models, and transaction-related documentation.
- Ensure timely and successful closure of mandates.
Syndication & Fund Raising
- Lead equity and debt syndication activities.
- Leverage relationships with institutional investors, PMS funds, AIFs, family offices, HNIs, UHNIs, banks, NBFCs, and financial institutions.
