About the Team
The Risk team at Navi is responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks across the organization. The Fraud Risk & Strategy (FRS) team, part of the Risk function at Navi, owns fraud risk prevention, detection and investigation across all of Navi's business. To achieve this, FRS partners with Tech, Product & Analytics teams to define fraud controls, set up alerts as well as identify suspicious patterns through investigations.
About the Role
Join Navi’s Group Fraud Risk & Strategy team to lead fraud prevention efforts across our Lending and Payments businesses. In this role, you’ll blend analytical thinking with hands-on execution to detect, prevent, and respond to fraud risks across the customer lifecycle.
What We Expect From You
The role is expected to focus on the Fraud Risk charter for the Payments and Lending businesses of the Navi Group, while being part of the Group Fraud Risk & Strategy team.
The responsibilities identified below are to be read in conjunction with this
understanding.
● Prevention:
○ Understand and drive prevention of losses from various fraud modes (Transaction Fraud, Application Gaps, Account Takeover, 1st and 3rd Party Fraud).
○ Partner with Product & Tech teams to build & deploy fraud control /prevention rules; and also to review adequacy of controls to mitigate frauds at the design stage.
● Detection:
○ Building appropriate alerting / reporting for emerging fraud attacks.
○ Liaise with Analytics teams to help build out data models needed for fraud analytics.
○ Conduct independent analytics of portfolio behavior to identify fraud trends / patterns.
○ Work towards automation of fraud identification and closure processes.
○ Obtain and monitor reports from Business, Product, Audit, Customer Service, Finance, Payment Ops, and Customer Complaints to identify red flags/ early warning signals of fraud.
● Investigations:
○ Work with the FRS Investigations team to study customer frauds, including Root Cause Anal
