The Sales Development Representative is responsible for building and growing relationships with small and mid-sized fleets through proactive outbound sales, partnerships, and account-based selling. This role focuses on higher-value opportunities, multi-truck filings, and longer-term customer relationships.
This is a hunter + relationship-builder role, designed to create new revenue streams beyond inbound demand.
WHAT YOU'LL SELL
Multi-truck filing services and compliance packages Fleet-level compliance solutions (2290, UCR, MCS-150, future services) Truckopedia platform offerings and premium tools Custom bundles and volume-based pricing where applicable IDEAL CUSTOMER PROFILE YOU'LL WORK WITH
Small to mid-sized fleets (2–50 trucks) Multi-location or growing fleets Customers with recurring, predictable compliance needs KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prospect and engage new fleet accounts through outbound outreach Work leads generated via tools like Apollo, Clay, Seamless, and Hub Spot Conduct discovery calls and demos tailored to fleet operations Build relationships with fleet owners,



operations managers, and compliance leaders Develop and manage a regional or vertical-based pipeline Coordinate with Marketing on campaigns, offers, and events Partner with Customer Support for smooth onboarding and retention Close new business and expand existing fleet accounts PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS:
2-4 years of B2 B outside sales experience Proven outbound prospecting and pipeline-building success Experience selling to SMBs or operationally complex businesses Solid consultative selling and negotiation skills CRM proficiency (Hub Spot preferred) Comfortable with quotas, outbound activity targets, and performance tracking Experience selling products and solutions to consumers located and operating in the United States NICE-TO-HAVE
