Job Description – Pure Storage Engineer/ Storage Design Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Pure Storage Storage Design Engineer with solid expertise in designing and implementing enterprise storage solutions using Pure Storage Flash Array models (X50, X20, C50) across multi–data center environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing highly available, scalable, and disaster-resilient storage infrastructure with synchronous and asynchronous replication strategies.
The role requires deep understanding of SAN architecture, zoning, storage networking, replication technologies, protection groups, snapshots, and disaster recovery planning in enterprise environments.
Pure Storage Active Cluster supports synchronous active-active replication with transparent failover and zero RPO/RTO capabilities for metro-cluster deployments.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement logical and physical storage architecture using Pure Storage Flash Array X50, X20, and C50 platforms.
Architect Active-Active metro cluster environments using synchronous replication across 2 data centers.
Design Active DR / asynchronous replication strategies for long-distance disaster recovery.
Define and implement:
SAN zoning architecture
Host group mapping
Storage pod configurations
SAN port mapping and assignments
Volume presentation standards
Configure and manage:
Protection Groups (PG)
Snapshot policies and schedules
Replication policies
Retention strategies
Design high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions for critical enterprise workloads.
Define failover/failback procedures and storage resiliency standards.
Work closely with server, virtualization, network, and application teams for infrastructure integration.
Support storage migration, replication validation, DR drills, and capacity planning activities.
Provide architecture documentation, LLD/HLD diagrams, SOPs, and operational runbooks.
Ensure storage platform performance optimization, scalability, and opera
