3 A Designation: Process Specialist Mandatory Skills:
Live Underwriting DTI LTV 4 C's (Credit, Capacity, Capital & Collateral) Purpose of the Role:
The Underwriter will review all loan documents and data in a loan file with the goal of rendering an Underwriting decision based on the loan characteristics including but not limited to Borrowers ability to repay (income, employment and assets), borrowers credit history and the collateral (property). UWs are granted Lending Authority based on their experience and their performance on initial test cases. Once Lending Authority is received, they underwrite loans in accordance with regulatory requirements, Investor guidelines and overlays.
Areas of Responsibility:
Underwrites mortgage loan applications and evaluates loans to maximize organizational profit and minimize risk or loss. Render final decision on pipeline of loans and recommend decisions on loans t
