Position - Fitter

Department - Maintenance / Production

Reporting To - Maintenance Manager / Production Manager

Location: 525, Udyog Kendra 2, UPSIDC Site A, Ecotech III, Greater Noida, Habibpur, Uttar Pradesh 201306

Job Summary

The Fitter is responsible for machine assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair activities within the plant. The role involves preventive maintenance of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems, attending machine breakdowns, and ensuring smooth operation of production equipment to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform machine assembly, installation, alignment, and commissioning activities.
- Carry out preventive maintenance of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical machines as per maintenance schedules.
- Diagnose and rectify machine breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
- Conduct routine servicing, inspection, and maintenance of air compressors and related equipment.
- Repair, replace, and adjust machine components as required.
- Operate and maintain maintenance tools and equipment, including hand grinders, welding machines, drilling machines, and hand tools.
- Monitor machine performance and identify potential issues before they lead to failures.




- Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts usage.
- Ensure all maintenance work is carried out in compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
- Assist in equipment modifications, improvements, and installation of new machinery.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Good knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Solid troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
- Hands-on experience with welding machines, hand grinders, and other workshop tools.
- Good understanding of machinery tools, equipment, and maintenance practices.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and assembly instructions.
- Knowledge of workplace safety and preventive maintenance procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

- ITI (Fitter) / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.

Experience

- 2–5 years of experience in machine assembly and industrial maintenance.
- Experience in manufacturing, packaging, engineering, or production plants preferred.
