Role Objective

To take complete responsibility for the entire mobile phone production floor, ensuring smooth, productive and timely production with the highest standards of quality, productivity, discipline and cost control.

The person will be responsible for managing manpower, production lines, assembly processes, testing, QC coordination, packing, material flow and daily production targets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Complete Floor Management

* Take ownership of the complete production floor and all production activities.

* Plan and execute daily, weekly and monthly production targets.

* Ensure smooth movement of material from stores to production and finished goods.

* Identify bottlenecks and immediately take corrective action.

* Maintain discipline, safety and 5S standards across the floor.

2. Production Planning & Execution

* Prepare daily production plans according to customer orders and management priorities.

* Allocate manpower and machines according to production requirements.

* Monitor line-wise production and productivity.

* Ensure production targets are achieved within the planned time.

* Reduce idle time, downtime and production losses.

3. Mobile Phone Assembly

* Supervise complete mobile phone assembly operations.

* Ensure proper handling of PCB, display, battery, camera, housing, connectors and other components.

* Ensure assembly is carried out according to approved SOPs and work instructions.

* Maintain proper ESD and product-handling procedures.

4. Testing & Quality

* Coordinate closely with QC and testing teams.

* Ensure every unit goes through the required testing process.

* Monitor defects, rejection, rework and customer complaints.

* Identify root causes of recurring defects and implement corrective actions.





* Maintain consistent product quality and reduce rejection/rework percentage.

5. Manpower Management

* Manage operators, line leaders, technicians, supervisors and other production staff.

* Allocate manpower according to workload and skill requirements.

* Monitor attendance, performance and discipline.

* Train employees and develop multi-skilled operators.

* Build a responsible second-line team capable of running operations independently.

6. Productivity & Cost Control

* Establish and monitor production KPIs.

* Improve output per employee and per production line.

* Control material wastage, rejection and rework.

* Improve production efficiency and reduce manufacturing cost.

* Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.

7. Inventory & Material Coordination

* Coordinate with Stores, Purchase and Planning teams to ensure uninterrupted production.

* Ensure proper material reconciliation.

* Control material shortages, excess consumption and wastage.

* Ensure proper documentation of production consumption and finished goods.

8. MIS & Reporting

Submit daily/weekly/monthly reports covering:

* Production quantity

* Target vs. actual production

* Line-wise productivity

* Rejection and rework

* Manpower utilization

* Material consumption

* Downtime

* Production efficiency

* Pending production

* Major issues and corrective actions

KPIs

The candidate will be measured on:

* Production target achievement
