R&D; Team Leader – Process Chemistry | API / Active Ingredients

We are hiring an experienced R&D; Team Leader – Process Chemistry to lead process development, scale-up and technology transfer for API/active ingredients and intermediates.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor R&D; chemists.
- Develop and optimize scalable chemical processes.
- Handle laboratory to kilo/pilot and plant-scale scale-up.
- Drive technology transfer from R&D; to manufacturing.
- Troubleshoot scale-up and plant-related process issues.
- Optimize processes for yield, purity, cost and safety.
- Support impurity control, crystallization, distillation and other purification processes.
- Coordinate with Production, QA and QC teams.
- Support process validation and commercialization.

Requirements
- M.Sc./Ph.D.



in Organic Chemistry or Chemistry.
- 12+ years of relevant experience preferred.
- Robust hands-on experience in Process R&D; / Process Chemistry.
- Experience with API, agrochemical active ingredients or chemical intermediates.
- Proven experience in kg-scale, pilot-plant and plant-scale operations.
- Strong technology-transfer and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience leading R&D; teams.
- Good knowledge of HPLC, GC, LC-MS, NMR and process purification techniques.

Not suitable for candidates primarily from medicinal chemistry, NCE discovery, biochemistry or QC without significant process-development and scale-up experience.
