Job Title: RMO - ICU (Residential Medical Officer)

Job Summary:
The ICU RMO is responsible for managing critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit, handling medical emergencies, and providing round-the-clock clinical support. The role requires robust emergency response skills, ability to perform critical procedures, and participation in life-saving interventions under consultant supervision.
Eligibility Criteria:
- MBBS / BHMS / BAMS from recognized institution
- Valid registration with respective council (as applicable)
- Mandatory CPR / BLS certification preferred (ACLS preferred for MBBS)
Key Responsibilities:
1. ICU Patient Management
- Monitor and manage critically ill patients in ICU
- Assess patient condition and report changes immediately to consultants
- Ensure continuous observation and timely intervention
2. Emergency Care
- Handle all medical emergencies in ICU and hospital
- Provide immediate stabilization of critical patients
- Participate actively in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and resuscitation protocols
3. Critical Procedures (Under Supervision / As Per Competency)
- Assist or perform endotracheal intubation in emergency situations
- Assist in CVP line insertion (Central Venous Pressure line)
- Assist in arterial line placement, IV access, and other ICU procedures as required
- Support ventilator management under consultant guidance
4. Clinical Support
- Implement treatment plans prescribed by ICU consultants
- Monitor vitals, ventilator parameters, and patient progress
- Ensure timely medication administration and fluid management
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain detailed ICU charts, case sheets, and daily progress notes
- Document emergency interventions and procedures performed
- Ensure proper handover during shift changes
6. Coordination
- Coordinate with nursing staff, intensivists, and other departments
