As a Physiotherapy intern, competencies required to observe, evaluate and assist licensed physiotherapist in patient care and learn clinical procedures under supervision
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Assist in reviewing medical charts, taking patient histories, and observing physical movements.
- Treatment Support: Help set up and guide patients through approved therapeutic exercises, stretches, and modalities.
- Shadowing & Learning: Observe senior therapists during complex manual therapy, joint mobilizations, and neurological rehabilitation.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate daily notes, track patient metrics, and update progress charts under supervision.
- Clinic Maintenance: Keep treatment areas clean, sanitize equipment between appointments, and manage supply inventory.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Physiotherapy or cleared final year in the respective degree.
- Knowledge: Robust understanding of human anatomy, kinesiology, and basic pathology.
- Soft Skills: Good communication, patience, and physical stamina for an active clinical environment.
- Compliance: Valid details about educational institute or background checks as requested by the facility.
Preferred: If have learned or interest in pilates/strength & conditioning
