What You'll Do
- Train dogs on basic commands such as sit, stay, come, down, leave it, and heel:
- Handle dogs with different temperaments, including energetic, anxious, fearful, and difficult-to-handle dogs
- Understand and interpret dog behaviour and body language
- Use positive and appropriate training techniques to build trust and confidence
- Help improve basic obedience, manners, and social behaviour
- Work closely with the Pawkie Planet team to ensure dogs receive consistent care and training
- Observe behavioural issues and communicate them clearly to the team and pet parents
- Maintain a safe and controlled environment during training sessions
- Support dogs during their stay with us and help them become more comfortable in a new environment

What We're Looking For




- Prior experience working as a Dog Trainer or in professional dog handling
- Strong understanding of dog behaviour and body language:
- Ability to confidently handle dogs of all temperaments:
- Valuable knowledge of basic obedience training
- Patient, calm, and compassionate approach towards dogs
- Comfortable working with multiple dogs in a boarding and daycare environment
- Strong observation and communication skills
- A genuine love for dogs and their wellbeing

Good to Have
- Experience with boarding, daycare, grooming, or pet care facilities
- Experience handling behavioural challenges
- Certification in dog training or animal behaviour
