We are seeking a passionate, reflective, and experienced TOK Teacher to join our IB academic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating inquiry-driven learning and developing students ability to think critically, evaluate perspectives, question assumptions, and understand how knowledge is constructed across different disciplines.
The candidate should have a solid understanding of the IB philosophy and approaches to teaching and learning, with the ability to work effectively across both MYP and DP contexts.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and deliver engaging TOK/inquiry-based learning experiences aligned with IB MYP and DP frameworks.
- Facilitate discussions, debates, reflections, and activities that encourage students to question assumptions and evaluate different perspectives.
- Develop students critical thinking, analytical reasoning, reflection, and communication skills.
- Support DP students in understanding and completing TOK Exhibition and TOK Essay requirements in accordance with IB expectations.
- Integrate TOK concepts and inquiry approaches across subject areas and promote interdisciplinary learning.
- Encourage students to explore real-world situations and examine knowledge questions from multiple perspectives.
- Provide constructive feedback and monitor student progress and development.
- Maintain appropriate academic records and assessment documentation.
- Collaborate with subject teachers and academic leaders to strengthen interdisciplinary and inquiry-based learning.
- Contribute to curriculum planning, department meetings, school events, and academic initiatives.
- Support students in developing the IB Learner Profile attributes and Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills.
