- Role Description β’ Hands-on experience with Dynatrace β both Managed and SaaS environments
- β’ Solid understanding of observability solutions (metrics, logs, traces, synthetic monitoring, alerting)
- β’ Familiarity with YAML-based configuration files β’ Awareness of change management / ITSM processes β’ Working knowledge of Jira for task tracking Daily Responsibilities
- β’ Review the list of use cases assigned per application that need to be configured or improved.
- β’ Assess existing monitoring setup for each application and identify improvement areas.
- β’ Implement improvements, including:
- β¦ Adjusting/tuning alert thresholds
- β¦ Creating custom metrics β¦ Drafting YAML files for log monitoring
- β¦ Drafting YAML files for synthetic HTTP monitors
- β’ Share prepared YAML files with the SRE team for deployment (self-serve model).
- β’ Raise a request to EMAS for any configuration task outside your permitted access scope.
- β’ Track and update all assigned use cases in Jira (see Jira Workflow section).
