Job Description – Trainee Housekeeping Supervisor

Position: Trainee Housekeeping Supervisor
Department: Housekeeping
Reports To: Executive Housekeeper / Housekeeping Manager
Location: Le Pondy, Puducherry

Job Purpose

The Trainee Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for learning and assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Housekeeping Department under the guidance of the Executive Housekeeper or Housekeeping Supervisor. The trainee will gain practical knowledge in guest room cleaning, public area maintenance, staff supervision, linen management, hygiene, and guest service.





Key Responsibilities
- Housekeeping Operations
- Assist in the daily housekeeping operations of the resort.
- Learn and follow the hotel's housekeeping standards and procedures.
- Assist in allocating duties to housekeeping staff under supervision.
- Guest Room Inspection
- Assist in inspecting guest rooms for cleanliness and proper presentation.
- Check bathrooms, beds, furniture, amenities, and other room facilities.
- Report maintenance issues to the concerned department.
- Public Area Cleaning
- Monitor and assist with the cleanliness of lobbies, corridors, washrooms, restaurants, pool areas, and other public areas.
- Ensure assigned areas are maintained according to resort standards.
- Staff Supervision
- Assist the Housekeeping Supervisor in monitoring staff attendance, grooming, discipline, and work performance.
- Guide housekeeping attendants in proper cleaning procedures.
- Learn basic tea
