Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Identify training requirements for clinical, nursing, paramedical, administrative, and support staff.
- Conduct competency gap analysis based on department requirements, appraisals, incidents, audits, and patient-care needs.
- Prepare an annual Training & Development calendar.
- Plan and coordinate induction and orientation programs for new employees.
- Organize regular training programs on hospital policies, SOPs, patient safety, infection control, communication, and skilled conduct.
- Coordinate clinical and non-clinical training with department heads and subject-matter experts.
- Arrange internal and external trainers as required.
- Coordinate training related to:
- Fire and emergency preparedness
- Infection prevention and control
- Biomedical waste management
- Patient safety
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and emergency response
- Workplace safety
- Code of conduct and patient confidentiality
- Prevention of sexual harassment (POSH)
- Disaster and emergency management
- Develop career development and competency-building programs.
- Identify high-potential employees and support leadership development.
- Coordinate soft-skills, communication, teamwork, customer-service, and supervisory training.
- Support succession planning and internal career growth.
- Maintain individual employee training records and departmental training registers.
- Monitor mandatory training completion and certification validity.
- Prepare training attendance sheets, feedback forms, assessment records, and certificates.
- Maintain documentation required for hospital accreditation and statutory audits.
- Coordinate training requirements arising from performance appraisals.
- Support competency assessments and skill evaluations.
- Track post-training performance improvement and effectiveness.
