Job Summary
YS School is looking for a passionate, competent and result-oriented Mathematics Lecturer who can inspire students to develop robust conceptual understanding, analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
The ideal candidate should possess strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills and the ability to make Mathematics engaging and relevant for senior school students.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Mathematics to senior school students in accordance with the prescribed curriculum and school academic framework.
- Develop strong conceptual understanding and mathematical reasoning among students.
- Prepare effective lesson plans,
teaching resources, assignments, worksheets and assessments.
- Use innovative and activity-based teaching methodologies wherever appropriate.
- Identify individual learning gaps and provide appropriate academic support and remedial guidance.
- Regularly assess student performance and maintain accurate academic records.
- Prepare students effectively for board examinations, competitive examinations and other academic assessments.
- Encourage logical thinking, analytical reasoning, problem-solving and application-based learning.
- Monitor students' academic progress and communicate relevant concerns to the Coordinator/Academic Head.
- Participate actively in parent-teacher meetings, academic reviews and school activities.
- Contribute to question-paper setting, evaluation, moderation and examination-related responsibilities.
