We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud DevOps Engineer to support the engineering, deployment, and ongoing operations of our cloud infrastructure. This role plays a critical part in advancing cloud recovery strategies, enterprise platform deployments, and security posture across Tier 0 and Tier 1 clinical and research systems.
The primary responsibility of this role is to monitor our ticket queue and use Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Ansible) to identify and resolve issues within our infrastructure — essentially functioning as an SRE for Cloud Platform Engineering.
The ideal candidate thrives in a regulated healthcare environment, brings hands-on AWS expertise, and is comfortable operating across infrastructure automation, security tooling, and enterprise application delivery. Since we are now operating in a multi-cloud setting, familiarity with Azure is a plus.
Cloud Recovery & Business Continuity
- Design, implement,
and validate Cloud Recovery Strategies for Tier 0 and Tier 1 mission-critical applications on AWS
- Implement Phase 1B Research DR (Disaster Recovery) in cloud as part of the Next Generation Storage Technologies initiative
Cover Enterprise Applications
- Deploy and operationalize the Enterprise Digital Pathology Platform on AWS
- Provision new infrastructure components and create cloud-based infrastructure using AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or equivalent IaC templates
- Create and manage new cloud services and on-premise infrastructure integrations as directed by the team
Security & Compliance
- Implement security tools and enforce standards across Managed Cloud Platforms
- Author and apply security policies in coordination with the IT Security team
- Maintain continuous compliance with organizational coding, testing, and security standards
- Ensure all cloud configurations adhere to HIPAA/HITECH requirements and relevant healthcare industry standards
