Position Summary:
Ingram Micro is seeking a skilled
AWS Migration Engineer
to support cloud transformation initiatives, including migration of on-premise workloads to AWS. The role involves planning, designing, and executing migration strategies while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Migration & Implementation
- Plan and execute end-to-end migration of applications, data, and infrastructure to AWS.
- Use AWS migration services such as:
- AWS Migration Hub
- AWS Application Migration Service (MGN)
- AWS Database Migration Service (DMS)
- Perform lift-and-shift, re-platforming,
or re-architecture migrations.
- Assessment & Planning
- Conduct application and infrastructure assessments to determine cloud readiness.
- Define migration strategies and roadmaps (7Rs: Rehost, Refactor, Replatform, etc.).
- Estimate migration efforts, costs, and timelines.
- Architecture & Design
- Design scalable, secure, and resilient AWS architectures.
- Implement cloud infrastructure using:
- EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM
- Ensure compliance with AWS Well-Architected Framework.
- Automation & DevOps
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using:
- AWS CloudFormation or Terraform
- Automate deployment workflows using CI/CD tools.
- Performance & Optimization
- Monitor workloads and optimize performance using: CloudWatch, AWS Trusted Advisor
- Ensure cost optimization using AWS best practices.
