- Prepare and implement monthly preventive maintenance schedules for plant equipment.
- Ensure timely execution of preventive maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime.
- Attend breakdowns promptly and implement effective corrective actions.
- Analyze recurring equipment failures and modify maintenance schedules to prevent repeated breakdowns.
- Maintain equipment history cards, maintenance records, and breakdown reports.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for major and repeated equipment failures.
Spares & Material Management
- Monitor and maintain adequate spare parts inventory for critical equipment.
- Inspect incoming maintenance materials and spares for quality and suitability.
- Identify spare requirements and coordinate with the Purchase team for timely procurement.
- Maintain proper records of spare consumption and availability.
Technical & Maintenance Activities
- Read and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, equipment manuals, and technical documents.
- Coordinate with engineers and technicians to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
- Support the evaluation and selection of recent machinery and equipment before installation.
- Recommend equipment modifications or design improvements to enhance performance and reduce recurring failures.
- Ensure proper installation, commissioning, and maintenance of equipment.
Supervision & Team Handling
- Supervise and guide mechanics, electricians, and maintenance technicians.
- Allocate maintenance activities and monitor work completion.
- Oversee equipment installation, repair, servicing, and maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, work permits, and plant safety systems.
- Maintain discipline and safe working practices within the maintenance team.
