Purpose of the role:

The role will be providing technical advice and support to both internal and external customers regarding garage door systems, automation products, and associated electrical components. The role is responsible for diagnosing technical issues, identifying solutions, and providing timely guidance to resolve faults while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

You will act as the technical subject matter expert, supporting installers, dealers, service technicians, sales teams, and end users with product enquiries, troubleshooting, and product knowledge.

Key Accountabilities:
- Provide first and second-level technical support via phone, email and other communication channels.
- Diagnose faults relating to garage door motors, automation systems, remote controls, safety devices, and accessories.
- Guide customers and technicians through systematic troubleshooting procedures to identify and rectify issues.




- Determine whether issues can be resolved remotely or require onsite service or product replacement. Escalate complex issues where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate records of enquiries, fault findings, resolutions and follow-up actions.
- Provide product information, technical advice and application recommendations.
- Assist with testing and evaluating new products where required.
- Prepare and update troubleshooting guides, technical bulletins, FAQs and support documentation.
- Assist in developing installation instructions and technical manuals.
- Identify recurring product issues and recommend improvements to products or documentation.
- Assist with warranty assessments and technical investigations.

Essential requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Experience with garage door automation, access control systems or supporting electromechanical products.
