Consultant General Medicine

Job Description
Key Responsibilities Conduct OPD consultations and evaluate patients with acute and chronic medical conditions. Diagnose and manage common medical and lifestyle-related disorders. Review laboratory investigations, imaging reports, and other diagnostic findings. Develop appropriate treatment plans and provide follow-up care. Identify patients requiring specialist referral or inpatient admission and coordinate accordingly. Manage medical emergencies within the scope of practice and escalate critical cases appropriately. Counsel patients and attendants regarding diagnosis, treatment, medication, and lifestyle modifications. Coordinate with specialists and other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, NABH standards, infection control,



and patient safety protocols. Participate in clinical discussions and quality initiatives as required. Qualifications & Experience MBBS with MD / DNB in General Medicine Valid NMC / State Medical Council Registration Relevant clinical/consultant experience preferred. Experience in a multispecialty hospital is an added advantage. Skills & Competencies Positive clinical assessment and decision-making skills. Strong patient communication and counselling skills. Ability to manage a broad range of medical conditions. Good documentation and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team. Working Hours Part-Time – 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Location: Dr. Kamakshi Memorial Hospital Pvt. Ltd., Pallikaranai, Chennai
