The Academic Counselor will act as the first point of contact for prospective students, guiding them throughout the admissions process for GLA University's online programs. The role involves engaging with students through tele-counselling, providing accurate program details, resolving queries, and ensuring smooth onboarding in line with the University's policies. The position demands a blend of strong communication, relationship management, and career guidance skills, along with a customer-centric and goal-oriented approach.
Key Responsibilities:
● Tele-Counselling & Student Engagement
o Reach out to potential students through calls, emails, or other communication channels.
o Counsel and guide students regarding program offerings, eligibility criteria, admission procedures, and fee structures.
o Provide end-to-end support to students from inquiry to enrollment.
● Admission Process Handling
o Accurately document student inquiries,
interactions, and follow-ups in the system.
o Assist in processing applications and ensuring that admission criteria are met. o Coordinate with internal departments for smooth admission confirmations.
● Relationship Management & Support
o Build and maintain positive relationships with students and parents.
o Act as a trusted advisor, helping students make informed career and education decisions.
o Ensure a high level of student satisfaction and a smooth admission journey.
Desired Work Experience:
● Minimum 1 Year of experience in Online Admission Counselling (preferably with reputed Universities, Colleges, Institutes, or Ed Tech companies).
● Proven track record of achieving admission/enrollment targets.
● Familiarity with CRM systems and student admission workflows.
