The role is designed for high-potential investment professionals aspiring to transition into a Fund Manager position by developing expertise in security selection, portfolio construction, and investment strategy within the regulatory framework applicable to life insurance companies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Equity Research & Investment Analysis
Conduct fundamental research on listed companies across sectors. Build and maintain detailed financial models, earnings forecasts, and valuation models. Analyze macroeconomic trends, industry dynamics, and company-specific developments. Generate investment ideas and provide buy, hold, and sell recommendations. Monitor portfolio companies and track key performance indicators. Prepare investment notes, sector reports, and presentations for the Investment Committee.
2. Fund Management & Portfolio Support
Assist Fund Managers in portfolio construction and asset allocation decisions. Monitor portfolio performance against benchmarks and investment objectives. Evaluate portfolio risk, liquidity, concentration limits, and compliance requirements. Support execution of investment strategies aligned with insurance liabilities and investment mandates. Participate in investment committee discussions and present investment recommendations. 3. Market & Sector Research
Develop sector expertise and maintain coverage of assigned industries. Prepare thematic research reports on emerging investment opportunities. Conduct channel checks, management meetings, and industry interactions. Analyze competitive positioning and business fundamentals of investee companies. 3. Risk & Compliance
