Company Description Little Lantern is a preschool in the heart of Kolkata, inspired by Finnish pedagogy and its emphasis on child-centered learning. Role Description As an Early Childhood Educator at Little Lantern, you will design and deliver age-appropriate, play-based learning experiences that support holistic development. You will plan daily activities and lessons aligned with Finnish-inspired pedagogy, facilitate group and individual learning, and create a warm, inclusive classroom environment. Responsibilities include observing and documenting children’s progress, maintaining classroom organization and safety,



and communicating regularly with families and colleagues about children’s learning and well-being. You will collaborate with the teaching team to develop curriculum, prepare learning materials, and participate in staff meetings and professional development. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Early Childhood Development and experience working with preschool-age children.
- Excellent Interpersonal Skills and ability to build trusting, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Demonstrated Creativity Skills in designing engaging, play-based learning activities and classroom environments.
- Effective Organization Skills, including classroom management, lesson planning, and maintaining records and routines.
