Job Description: Outpatient Medical Coders (3 Years Experience)

Position: Outpatient Medical Coders

Experience: Minimum 3 Years in Outpatient Coding

Location: Hyderabad

Employment Type: Full-time

Work mode: Office

Shift timing: 2pm to 11pm

Roles & Responsibilities:
Review outpatient medical records and assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes. Ensure coding is compliant with CMS, AMA, NCCI edits, and payer-specific guidelines. Code charts for outpatient services such as OPD visits, diagnostic services, minor procedures, therapy, labs, and radiology.



Validate medical necessity and ensure alignment between documentation and assigned codes. Collaborate with providers to clarify documentation and improve accuracy. Work with billing and AR teams to resolve coding-related denials and support appeals. Conduct periodic self-audits to maintain high accuracy levels. Stay updated with coding rules, annual guideline updates, and regulatory changes. Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of outpatient coding rules and guidelines. Expertise in ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS Level II, and E/M outpatient guidelines. Hands-on experience with EHR/EMR systems and coding platforms. Ability to read and interpret provider documentation accurately. Positive understanding of outpatient billing workflow and payer policies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
