We're Hiring | Fermentation Scale-Up & Manufacturing Specialist

Fermentry Labs is looking for a hands-on professional to join our core team and help bridge the gap between fermentation R&D; and commercial manufacturing.
This role will begin within our microbiology and food technology teams, working on pilot-scale fermentation trials, process validation and scale-up activities. The successful candidate will subsequently play a key role in establishing and managing downstream processing and manufacturing operations as we move towards commercial production.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Participate in pilot-scale fermentation trials and process development
✅ Support scale-up from laboratory and pilot batches to commercial production
✅ Manage downstream processing activities including filtration, pasteurization and batch preparation
✅ Coordinate filling, packaging and finished product handling
✅ Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, batch records and SOPs
✅ Work closely with microbiology, food technology and quality teams to ensure process consistency
✅ Support implementation of GMP,



food safety and quality systems
✅ Coordinate with vendors, manufacturing partners and service providers
✅ Assist in manufacturing setup, commissioning and operational readiness
Preferred Candidate Profile
Experience: 3–5 years

• Bioprocess Engineering
• Microbiology
• Related disciplines
Preferred Industry Exposure:
• Fermented foods
• Fermented beverages
• Dairy processing
• Probiotic products
• Functional beverages
• Nutraceutical manufacturing
• Brewing or fermentation industries
Candidates with hands-on experience in fermentation-based manufacturing or downstream processing operations will be strongly preferred.
