The Senior Contracts Specialist is responsible for supporting the Proposals Team during the bidding phase, managing post-award contractual activities, administering subcontracts, and handling charter party agreements. The role ensures contractual compliance, mitigates commercial risks, supports claims and change management processes, and safeguards the company's commercial interests throughout the project lifecycle within complex EPC and offshore environments.
Key Responsibilities
Reviewing and negotiating tender and contract terms, ensuring alignment with internal policies, and drafting/reviewing key legal agreements such as NDAs, Mo Us, and JV/Consortium agreements. Manages post-award contract activities including preparing contract appreciation notes, change notices, and claims; ensures compliance; maintains key logs; and handles contractual correspondence. Handles drafting and negotiation of subcontracts, including standard and special conditions; manages bidder deviations; and prepares subcontract-related correspondence.
Drafts and negotiates modified BIMCO terms from both vessel owners' and charterers perspectives, ensuring alignment with commercial interests during chartering discussions. Education & Qualifications
Diploma / Bachelor's / Masters in Engineering / Law / Science. Experience with large-scale EPC projects. Knowledge of Aramco (KSA) / ADNOC (UAE) / Qatar Energy (Qatar) / ONGC(India) offshore contract. 18 to 20 years' experience. Preferred Qualifications (Added advantage)
Certification Courses in Contracts Management / Construction Law / Arbitration / Quantity Surveying / Project Management from reputed institutes. BIMCO certification. Skills & Competencies
