About us
Josh Talks AI builds and licenses audio datasets to leading AI labs. We’ve been deliberately quiet for the last year and just built. The product has earned the right to be expanded; we are now hiring the people who will own what gets built next.
What this role is
You will own real product surface at Josh Talks AI from day one. What ships, what doesn’t, what gets killed, and what gets built next.
This is not a roadmap-coordination role. The product exists. The customers exist. The work is to close the gap between what we have shipped and what our customers need next in a category where the buyers are small in number, technical, and unforgiving about quality.
You will work directly with the CEO. You will be expected to have opinions, defend them with evidence,
and act on them quickly.
What you will own
1. The customer
A short, named list of customers globally who use our datasets and benchmarks. You will know each of them by name, what they’re training, where they’re stuck, and what they would buy from us next. You will be on calls with them, in their evaluation loops, and in their feedback threads. Your performance will be measured on whether the right people in this list are telling us what to build and on whether we shipped it.
2. The roadmap and the evidence behind it
You will own meaningful slices of what we ship. You will decide what gets built, what gets cut, and what evidence justifies each call. Every PRD you write will start from a real customer problem and end with a measurable definition of done. No theatre, no bloat.
3. The shipping cadence
A weekly cadence of meaningful product changes, shipped. You set the bar for what “shipped” means here not merged, n
