Salary: 20 - 30 K (240 K - 360 K per annum)
Responsibilities:
- Assist authors with their publishing related queries and close the deals.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the publishing industry, including authors, marketeers, distributors, etc.
- Manage the acquisition process for new titles, including evaluating manuscripts, negotiating contracts, and overseeing the editing and production process.
- Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies for new and existing titles.
- Work closely with authors to develop and execute marketing plans for their books.
- Stay up-to-date with industry news and trends and make recommendations to the publishing house leadership team.
Requirements:
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Robust interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with community members, influencers, and stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for reading and literature will be preferred.
