About the Role
Invent India is looking for a passionate and driven Mechanical Product Design Engineer with 1–2 years of experience in product design and development. In this role, you will contribute to transforming ideas into functional products by working across concept development, engineering, prototyping, and manufacturing support.
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and gain exposure to end-to-end product development across diverse industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, design, and develop mechanical products from ideation to production.
- Create and modify 3 D CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings.
- Work on feasibility studies, prototyping, testing, and design validation.
- Prepare detailed drawings and specifications for materials and manufacturing processes involving plastics, casting, and sheet metal.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for development and prototype execution.
- Support CAD finalization and prototype release activities.
- Ensure designs meet technical, functional, and manufacturing requirements.
- Research product, technology, and industry trends to support innovation.
- Maintain documentation and follow structured engineering and design processes.
Added Advantage
- Exposure to Patent Research, Product Trends, and Technology Analysis.
- Knowledge of Mechanical & Thermal Simulations (FEA).
- Basic understanding of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
- Experience in prototype development and product testing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering (Mandatory)
- Master’s in Product Design will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 1–2 years of experience in Mechanical Product Design / Product Development
- Internship experience with strong project exposure may also be considered.
