Position Summary
IT PRIME NEWS / TV is seeking a skilled and dedicated Cameraman / Video Journalist (VJ) to capture high-quality video footage for news broadcasts, special reports, interviews, live events, and digital media platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong camera operation skills, an eye for visual storytelling, and the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced news environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Operate professional video cameras and related equipment for news gathering and production.
· Capture high-quality footage for news reports, interviews, press conferences, events, and feature stories.
· Coordinate with reporters, producers, editors, and news desk teams to ensure complete visual coverage.
· Set up and manage lighting, audio, tripods, and other production equipment as required.
· Record live broadcasts, outside broadcasts (OB), and special event coverage.
· Ensure proper framing,



composition, focus, and exposure during shoots.
· Transfer, organize, and archive footage according to newsroom procedures.
· Perform basic video editing and footage selection when required.
· Maintain camera equipment and report technical issues promptly.
· Travel to various locations for assignments, including breaking news coverage.
· Follow all safety, legal, and ethical journalism standards while filming.
Required Qualifications
· Diploma/Degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Film Production, Media Studies, or a related field.
· 2–5 years of experience as a Cameraman, Video Journalist, or News Cameraperson.
· Experience working in television news channels, digital news platforms, or media production houses preferred.
· Valid driving license is an advantage.
Technical Skills
· Proficiency in operating skilled broadcast cameras (Sony, Panasonic, Canon, Blackmagic, etc.).
