JOB OPENING: HEAD CHEF
Property: Alexander Reserve (25-Room Boutique Heritage Resort)
Location: Matheran, Maharashtra (Live-in / On-site role)
Salary: ₹60,000 – ₹70,000 per month + Free Accommodation & Meals

Alexander Reserve is a peaceful, 25-room boutique heritage resort located in the car-free hill station of Matheran. We focus on giving our guests a relaxing holiday experience with excellent, fresh, and homely multi-cuisine food.
THE ROLE
We are looking for a practical, hands-on Head Chef to take full charge of our resort's kitchen. We do not need a fancy corporate chef who only sits in an office; we need a working chef who leads by example, loves to cook, and can manage a small team efficiently. You will be responsible for making sure every guest gets hot, tasty, and well-presented food on time.
WHAT YOU WILL DO (Responsibilities)
Daily Cooking & Operations: Take the lead in cooking and preparing daily meals (Breakfast, Lunch, High Tea, and Dinner) for resort guests.
Menu Planning: Create easy, delicious, and crowd-pleasing multi-cuisine menus,



focusing strongly on , Continental, European and Basic Indian, Tandoor and local Maharashtrian dishes.
Team Management: Guide and train a small kitchen team (including a line cook and utility helpers). Make sure the team is working fast and respectfully.
Inventory & Ordering: Make daily/weekly grocery lists. Coordinate with the estate manager to ensure that fresh vegetables and supplies are ordered and transported up the hill to Matheran to avoid running out of stock.
Cost Control: Keep a strict eye on food wastage. Use ingredients smartly to keep food costs within the resort's monthly budget.
Hygiene & Cleanliness: Ensure the kitchen, storage areas, and fridge are kept spotlessly clean and follow basic food safety rules.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR (Requirements)
Experience: 4 to 7 years of total kitchen experience, with at least 1 or 2 years working as a Head Chef, Kitchen Manager, or Senior Sous Chef in a good
