Role Purpose
The Category Manager – Test Prep Growth will act as the business owner for JEE, NEET, Foundation, and other competitive exam categories.
This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, market share, learner acquisition, conversion and category profitability
The role combines business strategy, growth marketing, product thinking, and operational execution.
Key Responsibilities
Category Revenue Ownership
- Own revenue, growth, and profitability targets
- Drive achievement of annual and quarterly business plans
- Monitor contribution margins and category economics
- Optimize LTV/CAC and business efficiency
Growth Strategy
Develop and execute growth plans for:
- JEE Main & Advanced
- NEET
- Foundation Programs
- Olympiad Preparation
Identify opportunities across:
- Online
- Scholarships
- AI-powered learning
- Rank improvement programs
Funnel Optimization
Own end-to-end student funnel:
Lead → Counselling → Enrolment → Engagement → Renewal
Improve:
- Lead conversion
- Counselling productivity
- Enrolment rates
- Student retention
- Repeat purchases
Product & Learning Growth
Partner with Product and Academic teams to:
- Improve learner engagement
- Increase practice completion rates
- Improve mock test participation
- Drive AI Mentor adoption
- Enhance student outcomes
Market Intelligence
Track:
- Competitor offerings
- Pricing trends
- Student preferences
- Exam pattern changes
- Emerging opportunities
Generate actionable insights for leadership.
