POSITION PURPOSE
The role will support the finance function across financial reporting, MIS, budgeting, and compliance, with specific responsibility for financial analysis and business partnering across Essar’s Metals & Mining portfolio. The incumbent is expected to bring direct sector familiarity — enabling faster onboarding and meaningful contribution to portfolio-level financial oversight from day one.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education
CA or MBA (Finance) from a recognized institution.
Experience
4–5 years of post-qualification experience in finance, accounting, or FP&A.;
Prior experience in a Metals & Mining company, or in a finance role with direct exposure to the sector — mandatory. Steel industry background strongly preferred.
SKILL/COMPETENCIES REQUIREMENTS
Solid command of Ind AS / Indian GAAP, direct and indirect taxation, and financial reporting.
Proficient in Excel-based financial modelling and MIS preparation.
Good communication skills — able to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
Proficiency in MS Office (data analysis and reporting).



Strong understanding of financial concepts — including valuation, capital structures, returns analysis, and investment evaluation frameworks. Demonstrated ability to assess financial opportunities and support business development and evaluation of current investments. Proficient in building financial models and preparing high-quality Power Point presentations for external stakeholders, potential investors, and senior leadership.
