Job Title: Junior Engineer – Laboratory (Bitumen)
Location: Chennai
Job Summary
We are seeking a Junior Engineer – Laboratory (Bitumen) to support bitumen and asphalt material testing activities in our NABL-accredited civil material testing laboratory. The candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests, maintaining records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and quality procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory testing of bitumen, asphalt, and related construction materials.
- Conduct tests as per IS, ASTM, IRC, and other applicable standards.
- Prepare test reports and maintain laboratory records accurately.
- Assist in sample collection, handling, and storage.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment as per quality requirements.
- Monitor test results and report any non-conformities to senior engineers.
- Follow NABL quality procedures and laboratory safety guidelines.
- Support senior engineers in research,



analysis, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with site engineers and clients regarding sample testing requirements.

Qualification
- Diploma / B. E. / B. Tech in Civil Engineering.
- Freshers or candidates with up to 2 years of relevant laboratory experience can apply.

Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of bitumen and asphalt testing procedures.
- Understanding of laboratory quality systems and documentation.
- Positive analytical and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Experience
- Experience in a civil material testing laboratory.
- Exposure to NABL accreditation requirements will be an added advantage.
