About the Role
We are looking for a System Engineer / System Administrator to join our Cloud & IT
Infrastructure team at Simple Works (Nagpur Office). The ideal candidate will have strong
Linux administration expertise, hands-on exposure to web servers and automation
scripting, and a sound understanding of cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure). This role
demands ownership, problem-solving, and communication skills to manage both internal
and external client environments effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, configure, and maintain Linux servers (Cent OS, Ubuntu, RHEL) across on-premise and cloud environments.
- Administer and troubleshoot Web Servers – Apache, Nginx – and related application components (PHP, Python).
- Perform server hardening, OS patching, security configuration, and performance monitoring using tools like top, sar, vmstat, or netstat.




- Develop and maintain Shell scripts / Bash scripts to automate recurring operational tasks and improve system efficiency.
- Handle database administration (My SQL / Postgre SQL) – user management, backups, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor system performance, logs, and incidents, and proactively ensure high availability and reliability.
- Coordinate with clients to handle system-related queries, deployments, and escalations in a professional and timely manner.
- Manage IT infrastructure assets – servers, endpoints, licenses, access, and user provisioning.
- Ensure proper documentation of configurations, SOPs, and incident resolutions.
- Support configuration and maintenance of Cloud servers (AWS / GCP / Azure) – EC2, IAM, S3, basic networking, and firewall/security group rules.
