Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Field Service Engineer to own installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and breakdown repair of our laboratory automation instruments across India. This is a fully independent, pan-India field role based out of Bengaluru. You will be the primary service resource on the ground — expected to diagnose and resolve issues without escalation in most cases, and to deliver a high-quality installation experience that sets customers up for long-term success.
You will work closely with our internal applications and R&D; teams for technical escalations,



and coordinate with the sales team on installation timelines and customer readiness. Travel is a core part of this role — expect to be in the field 60–70% of the time.
What You Will Be Measured On
- First-time fix rate on field breakdown calls
- Installation turnaround time — from site readiness to successful handover
- Customer satisfaction post-installation and post-service visits
- Preventive maintenance schedule adherence across the installed base
- Escalation rate — senior engineers escalate rarely
What You Will Do
Installation & Commissioning
- Execute end-to-end installation and commissioning of laboratory automation instruments at customer sites across India
- Validate instrument performance post-installation against defined acceptance criteria
- Conduct site readiness assessments prior to installation — power, space, network, consumables
- Train lab staff on basic instrument operation, routine maintenance, and error handling
