1. About the Role
Mercor is seeking
Ph D holders, doctoral candidates, and exceptional Master’s graduates
in Biology and related disciplines to join a
high-impact AI research initiative
in collaboration with a
leading artificial intelligence lab.
This role is ideal for scientists passionate about applying their biological expertise to cutting-edge AI model development and evaluation. You’ll analyze and assess how large language models (LLMs) reason through complex biological concepts, research methods, and data interpretation.

3. Key Responsibilities
Evaluate
scientific accuracy, conceptual rigor, and reasoning quality
in LLM-generated content across biological domains.
Review AI outputs related to
experimental design, data analysis, and theoretical models
in life sciences.
Identify
factual inaccuracies, logical inconsistencies, and conceptual misunderstandings.
Benchmark AI model performance on advanced biological and interdisciplinary problems.
Work independently and asynchronously using
proprietary evaluation tools.
4. Ideal Qualifications
Ph D (candidate or recipient)
or
Master’s degree
in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, or related fields.
Robust command of
graduate-level biological concepts
and
scientific reasoning.
Excellent analytical and written communication skills.
