Position Overview:

As a Tax Senior, you will partner closely with clients, ensuring tax compliance, preparing projections, resolving tax notices, supporting special projects, and building lasting client relationships. you'll be reporting to the Tax Managers in the Smith& Howard India office and collaborating with the US Tax Services Group on various tax engagements. You'll also have the opportunity to mentor and train tax staff.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and check tax returns for businesses and organizations, including Forms 1065, 1120 S, 1120 (state), and 990, covering multiple states.



Prepare and review business and nonprofit tax returns, including Forms 1065, 1120 S, 1120 (state), and 990 across multiple states. Handle partnership tax filings, including rental real estate, private equity, and passthrough entities. Ensure accurate reporting for Schedule K-1s, partner allocations, guaranteed payments, and capital accounts. Manage complex structures, including multi-tiered partnerships and entities. Oversee multiple tax projects at the same time, meeting deadlines and quality standards. Use tax software like Go System; experience with Case Ware FACS is a plus. Support and mentor junior team members, helping with training and development. Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in U. S. taxation (primarily with Forms 1065 and 1120 S). Should possess robust technical expertise in calculating tax adjustments and identifying potential tax-related issues.
